I enjoy speaking on the topic of Sexual Wholeness and I feel accurate education is crucial for the development and lifelong expression of healthy, shame free sexuality. As a result, I developed a variety of educational presentations that can be tailored to an array of settings, such as, workshops, seminars, retreats, intensives, or groups. The following is sample list:

  • Boosters and Busters: What Enhances and Hinders Sexual Functioning
  • How and When to Teach Children About Sex
  • Affair Proofing Your Marriage
  • Not Second Class Sexual Citizens: Singles and Sexuality
  • The Theology of Sex: God's Gift
  • Understanding Sexual Addiction and Treatment
  • Care for Wives of Men Who Are Sexual Addicts
  • Preventing, Treating, & Overcoming Sexual Abuse
  • More Than Plumbing: Enjoying the Difference between Men & Women
  • The Secrets of Eve: The Complexities of Female Sexuality
  • Sexual Identity Management: Orientation Issues
  • The Cultural Web of Deception: Cultural Impact on Sexuality
  • Keeping The Passion Alive: Sex and Aging
  • Sexual Disorders and Clinical Issues

This group will begin at the end of February 2009 and run for six weeks. The group will meet one time a week during the evening for 1 1/2 hours (For confidentiality reasons, details of the location and meeting time will not be revealed unless you are admitted to the group). You will be eligible for this group if you struggle with out-of-control sexual behaviors. This will be a therapy group as opposed to a support group. This means that each participant will be expected to explore his thoughts, feelings, and actions indepthly and identify the root causes of his sexual addiction, learn his sexual acting out cycle including triggers, and develop a recovery plan that includes relapse prevention. More information will be posted as the details are confirmed. Please send an email at david@janviercounseling.com for more information or to be added to the mailing list.

From time to time individuals and couples ask me about the use of sexual products or "sex toys". In many cases the use of such products is a choice made between the couple. In several instances in sex therapy protocol, devices and/or aids are recommended to assist couples in moving forward through sexual barriers and/or dysfunctions. The next question that's posed is where can one go to obtain these products that is a reputable business that is not connected with the porn industry or other unwholeness organizations. I have built a rapport with a Christian based company where I know the founders and their mission is to promote sexualwholeness. If you are in search of products, I highly recommend Intentional Moments. You can find their website at www.intentional-moments.com. If you don't see what you are looking for, contact directly and most likely, they can order it for you.
